About the Program
Miles per Canal allows customers to use their existing telematics device to automatically report mileage to calculate their monthly liability insurance premiums.
Basic Criteria
Any business with 1-15 trucks
2 years CDL driving experience
Truck models of 2000 or newer
All trucks must be company owned and operating in the USA
Must maintain active use of ELIGIBLE telematics provider
Must allow canal access to that data for the life of the policy
Eligible Telematics Partners
Eligible telematic providers enabled through Canal’s partnership with TruckerCloud, a third party integration platform.

While driving miles are tracked and applied to your monthly liability premium, you'll never be charged for any time your vehicle is idle.
No minimum monthly premium
Canal will not charge any minimums and all billable mileage will be pulled from your telematics device.
No monthly paperwork
No monthly paperwork or tracking of mileage. Canal will pull all mileage data and take the guesswork out of reporting.
